Our make-up courses

Our courses run all year round. If you want a career as a TV, Film and Theatre make-up artist, we suggest our 14-week certificate course (this includes prosthetics). If it's Fashion you're interested in take our 5-week certificate course, and if you want to work in both areas, our Five Star diploma programme (which also includes our airbrushing) is for you.

On the successful completion of a course, we'll award you a Greasepaint certificate in the relevant area. We are accredited by the British Accreditation Council.

5* Make-up Artist Course

Our popular and comprehensive, 20-week, Five Star make-up and hair programme includes hair, make-up and special effects for HDTV, Film, Theatre and Fashion including airbrushing techniques.You can add our 2-week Further Prosthetics to make a 22-week course. One former student said, "It's the best thing I've ever done!"

TV, Film & Theatre Make-up Courses

Greasepaint's 14- or 15-week TV, film and theatre training is designed to equip you with the knowledge to begin working successfully in the industry as a make-up and hair artist. Students who've completed this course since December 2011 have gone on to work as trainees on (amongst many others) the BBC's Call the Midwife, Disney's Malificent filmed at Pinewood, the BBC's Design Trainee Scheme and the Skillset Trainee Scheme.

Fashion Make-up Courses

Do you look at the cover of Vogue and say, "I'd love to do that"? Do you see yourself working backstage in the frenetic atmosphere of London Fashion Week? Fashion make-up and hair artists in this exciting and often fast-paced area need creativity and technical skill - and both are emphasised in our training at Greasepaint.
