Welcome to Greasepaint School of Film, Television, Theatre and Fashion Makeup
Based in London, our 30 years' experience of running professional makeup courses has produced some of the top film and fashion makeup artists in the industry today. We're delighted with the former students who've been involved with BAFTA-award winning films in 2010 - including Mandy Gold ('The Young Victoria') and Louise Coles ('Moon'). And the designers of the 2009 Oscar-winning films, 'The Reader' (Ivana Primorac) and 'Slumdog Millionaire' (Virginia Holmes) were both trained here. Our fashion graduates also work on leading publications such as Vogue, for catwalk shows, and as personal make-up artists to celebrities. The success and hard work of our graduates has built our worldwide reputation as an excellent place to train as a Make Up Artist.

The best trainers and facilities
All our makeup courses are taught by experienced specialist makeup and hair tutors. Most are BBC-trained and work freelance in the industry. Recent visiting specialists include Neill Gorton of Millenium FX, Vicky Voller of the BBC's Holby City, make-up artist Kate Benton and prosthetic make-up artist Stuart Bray. Materials and equipment on all our courses are state of the art, including a high definition camera and monitor for viewing makeups on camera. Any kit (and compressor) included with your course is yours to keep.

Your makeup course .. and afterwards
Our Makeup courses are highly intensive and tightly structured, providing excellent value for money. You are welcome to come back and practice your skills after the course has finished, at no extra cost. After your training (again at no extra cost) we provide vital hands-on work experience through our close links with the industry. In one project for 2010, our tutor Christine Vidler is leading a team of 17 former students doing make-up and hair for Top Model UK.
